AN author with strong Ribble Valley links made a big impression on youngsters when she took part in two signing sessions to promote her latest book.
Ex-school teacher Patricia Jones, a former governor at Brabins Endowed Primary School, Chipping, not only took time out to chat with the children about her fifth novel, Circles Of Blood, she also put time aside to read stories to them at the Borders and Waterstones book stores in Preston.

It was a labour of love for the former school teacher, who lives in Ribchester.

"Feedback from the children was fantastic," said Patricia. "My books are aimed at the seven to 15 age group and listening to their views is so important."

Circles Of Blood is published by Pegasus and can be obtained from Waterstones at Preston and on-line www.patriciajones.co.uk
