A LOTTO winner, known only as Mr C from Lancashire, has banked £442,168 without ever touching a ticket – the lucky gentleman matched five numbers and the bonus ball on July 23rd.
He joins the interactive winners' club and is one of more than three million online users registered to play in the UK National Lottery, which is now the world's most successful interactive lottery.

National Lottery subscriptions can be set up at National-Lottery.co.uk, by post or telephone, with no tickets to misplace or need to check numbers. By playing online and paying by continuous Direct Debit, players will always be in the game.

Interactive winners have the opportunity to release their name, remain anonymous or release some details with partial publicity. Mr C joins other online winners from Lancashire – including Mrs C, who scooped £143,284 on Lotto in May and Mr B, who won £70,092 in January.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: "Many congratulations to Mr C, he has become a winner by barely lifting a finger; in fact he need not have got out of bed to win this massive prize. If you play by subscription, it couldn't be any easier – we not only check your numbers for you but even let you know if you've won. If you decide to set up your subscription online, it literally only takes five minutes and then we take care of the rest – you won't ever have to buy, or lose, another ticket again."
