Cat survives seven weeks 'walled in' under bath

A LUCKY cat has used up at least one of its nine lives, surviving for seven weeks after being "walled up" under a bath during renovation work at a house.
Four-year-old Bonny's survival has been hailed as "a miracle" by her German owners, who told media the pet cat disappeared in mid June while workmen were replacing pipes in the block of flats where they live.
It is believed the black cat - last spotted in a nearby flat where cladding around a bath had been removed - crept underneath before the tub was sealed up again.
A neighbour was eventually alerted to Bonny's plight by miaowing but not before the poor cat's weight had dropped from 13 pounds to 4 pounds.
A vet had suggested Bonny be put down but her owner has since nursed her back to a full recovery.
