Clarets double at North West awards
Clarets boss Sean Dyche has been named as the best manager in the North West at a prestigious awards evening on Tuesday.
The Burnley manager beat off top-level competition from shortlisted Man City boss Manuel Pellegrini and Liverpool’s Brendan Rodgers to land the honour. Dyche guided the Clarets back to the Premier League on a shoestring budget.
And Clarets striker Danny Ings made it a Turf Moor double when he was named Championship player of the year, beating off Blackburn Rovers marksman Jordan Rhodes.
The evening was staged in Manchester.
