The first Championship meeting between Burnley and Blackburn Rovers at Turf Moor in six-and-a-half years is bound to be as intense as all those that have gone before it.
Should Burnley avoid defeat, as they have in their previous seven games against their arch rivals, they’ll head into the break for the World Cup top of the pile.
“For the whole town it's probably the biggest game of their lives,” he said.
“There have been all the highs of the Premier League, but they'd take beating Blackburn home and away over beating a Premier League team any day.
“We know how important it is.”
