It's brilliant for the staff and I would like to thank them for all their hard work and the customers for continuing to support us. I'd also like to thank our MP, Julie Cooper, who contacted us shortly afterwards to congratulate the team. And Shibbir Ahmed Shuvo for taking photos on the night.
"We last won it in 2014 and although we've been nominated since, you begin to wonder if you're ever going to win it again. There are a lot of really, really good restaurants around here and obviously you can't win every year. To have won it again, eight years after our first win, it shows that our standards remain high."
It was a special night for Ibby's son, Adnan, as well. The 13-year-old, who has been helping out at the Rossendale Road restaurant on Sundays, went up the collect the award.
"He loved it," said Ibby. "He was telling everybody he's part of the Usha team now. I had to say to him, 'You only did two hours the other Sunday!'.
"It was great having him there and it's nice for him to see that hard work pays off."
