Life-saving run date set

A LIFE-SAVING run to help people with cystic fibrosis will be held in September for the sixth year running.
The Amelia Cup 10k run will take place on Sunday, September 28th, and follow a route around the Ribble Valley setting off from West Bradford Village Hall.
The run was inspired by seven-year-old Amelia Dickinson, of Whalley, who suffers with the condition, but is still finding the energy to complete this year's 10k along with her sister Ella to raise funds for the CF Trust.
Aimie Hamer, of Re:Fit Personal Training, and Gail Bailey, of Pure Health and Beauty, who co-organise the run along with Amelia's mother Samantha Dickinson, are hoping this year's event will help them on their way to their fund-raising target of £50,000.
Gail said: "Through various events we have now raised in the region of £39,000 for the CF Trust and want to thank everyone who has helped us achieve this so far. We want to keep on raising more and more to help CF sufferers like Amelia and really hope you are able to join us again this year."
She added: "It's always a really good family event for both serious runners competing for the Amelia Cup, through to the joggers and walkers."
Entry is through sponsorship or £12.50 at enrolment, which will be held at West Bradford Village Hall between 9-30 a.m. and 10-15 a.m. with a 10-30 a.m. start. For a sponsor form or to pre-enrol contact Gail by email at bailey-ga@supanet.com or by calling 07980743610. Donations or payment for enrolment can also be made on the Just Giving web page at www.justgiving.com/ameliacup10k
