THIEVES broke into a property in Laneside Close, Whalley, between 3-30 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Thursday. Although nothing was stolen from the premises there were signs of an attempted theft.
• A blue Ford fiesta was broken into in Hambledon View, Read, between 7 p.m. on Friday and 4 p.m. on Sunday.

• A Rover 75 had its wing mirror damaged while it was parked in Chatburn Road, Clitheroe. The incident happened between 8 p.m. on Friday and 9-30 a.m. on Saturday.

• Damage valued at £50 was caused by vandals who kicked the wing mirror of a Ford Granada in Richmond Terrace, Clitheroe, around midnight on Saturday.

• A blue Renault Megane valued at £7,000 was stolen from Henthorn Road, Clitheroe, between 3 p.m. on Saturday and 10-30 p.m. the following Sunday night.
