A59 smash: one airlifted to hospital with head injuries

A PASSENGER had to be airlifted to hospital after a collision on the A59.
A Vauxhall Corsa and Ford Fiesta collided on Sawley Brow around 12-37 p.m. on Saturday.

One person was taken to hospital by the North West Air Ambulance, suffering a broken femur and head injuries.

The road was closed to allow investigations to take place
